The information we collect
Contractors give TLS personal information regarding the Contractors customers, potential customers, or others. It is the Contractors responsibility to ensure that they have appropriate consents from those individuals for the purpose for which they have engaged TLS. TLS collect’s and records information from individuals on behalf of its Contractors in various ways including telephone conversations (which may be recorded), by written responses in email or paper form, by Web based correspondence, and by indirect means such as call displays. The types of personal information we collect will vary depending on the requirements of the Contractor.
How we use this information
This information is provided to the Contractor that has engaged TLS to perform the services. The purpose will be disclosed when the information is requested from the individual. TLS may use personal information for internal quality control and training purposes. TLS does not use personal information for other purposes without the express consent of the individual. TLS relies on the representations of its Contractors regarding the use of personal information by the Contractor and consents obtained by the Contractors. TLS is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of the Contractors. TLS will assist individuals that disclose personal information to TLS by advising of the identity and contact information of the Contractor if requested. TLS may use aggregate or anonymous information which will not be linked to identified individuals for various other uses for itself and third parties.
Who we share this information with
Except to the Contractor for which TLS collected the information and for use by TLS’s consultants and professional advisers on TLS’s behalf for the uses disclosed above, TLS does not share personal information with any third parties.
Security
Personal information is stored in a combination of paper and electronic files. Such files are only available to TLS personnel and are provided to the Contractor that has engaged TLS to perform the services.
Accessing information
Individuals may review their personal information contained in TLS files by contacting the TLS privacy officer. If an individual believes that any of their personal information is inaccurate, our privacy officer can make appropriate corrections. If TLS has forwarded such information on to the Contractor, it will advise of the contact information of that Contractor so the individual can access such information in accordance with the Contractor’s privacy policies.
General
TLS reserves the right to amend these policies from time to time. If such amendments affect how TLS uses or discloses personal information already held by TLS in a material way, TLS will obtain consent. Notwithstanding the general terms of this policy, the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information may be made outside of the terms herein to the extent provided for in applicable privacy and other legislation in effect from time to time. These exemptions include, without limitation, publicly available information, or information disclosed for criminal or civil investigations or compliance with law or court orders. TLS may also disclose personal information to another entity purchasing the assets of TLS, provided that entity abides by this or a similar privacy policy.
